چکیده

Studies to prediction of soil moisture constants and other properties rather than direct measurements were never dwindle importance. Models derived from obtained easily. Therefore, in this study focused on the predictability some constants, whose determination was often difficult time-consuming, penetration resistance measurements. In improvement alternative models for estimation constants; addition resistance, textural fractions (sand, clay silt), bulk density, CaCO3 % organic matter contents included. The created according groups with different textures (sandy, loamy, clay) at 0.1, 0.33, 0.5 15 bar. bar content, highest differences R2 values (0.61, 0.60, 0.64 0.59) between actual predicted data loamy soils. For group, root means square error (RMSE) ranged 1.32 1.90 %, addition, mean (ME) determined be a range 1.53 2.05 %. content tensions using matter, properties, coefficient 71 77 it is concluded that models, developed or by could used safely texture

Pedotransfer functions for estimating soil moisture content using fractal parameters in Ardabil province

Extended abstract 1- Introduction Soil moisture curve is an important characteristic of soil and its measurement is necessary for determining soil available water content for plant, evapotranspiration and irrigation planning. Direct measurements of soil moisture coefficients are time-consuming and costly. But it is possible to estimate these characteristics from readily available soil propert...

Developing Pedotransfer Functions for Estimating Some Soil Properties using Artificial Neural Network and Multivariate Regression Approaches

Study of soil properties like field capacity (F.C.) and permanent wilting point (P.W.P.) play important roles in study of soil moisture retention curve. Although these parameters can be measured directly, their measurement is difficult and expensive. Pedotransfer functions (PTFs) provide an alternative by estimating soil parameters from more readily available soil data. In this investigation, 7...

Multiscale Pedotransfer Functions for Soil Water Retention

Soil hydraulic properties are needed in globaland regionalscale circulation models for hydrologic and climate forecasting. They are also necessary in pointand nonpoint-source contaminant transport models. Prediction accuracy of these models is highly dependent on the quality of the model parameters. Collecting the required soil hydraulic parameters by direct measurement at any model grid scale ...

Soil Hydraulics Properties Estimation by Using Pedotransfer Functions in a Northeastern Semiarid Zone Catchment, Brazil

Hydrological modeling of the unsaturated soil zone fluxes allows the transfer processes simulation through the hydrological active soil zone. The pedotransfer functions (FTP) are useful tools in the modeling process. They contain analytical functions derived through statistic optimization process using a large amount of soil information data. This paper aims to analyze the level of reliability ...
